For those of you who are in Toronto on June 25th (oh, I just realized that is tomorrow!), there is a meeting to discuss the new rules to permit renewable energy facilities.
With all the wind generation naysayers in the news lately (I'm not saying they don't have valid points - we just have to keep working on improving our sources of renewable energy), I am guessing that wind power generation may be one of the topics.
Here are the details, as received in a Green Energy Act email today:
Dear Renewable Energy Supporters,
We need your help to bring more renewable energy to Ontario! While the government has introduced groundbreaking legislation that will help power Ontario with clean renewable energy, we need to make sure we get the details right and the new legislation is not derailed by other interests.
An important meeting is being held in Toronto this Thursday June 25th from 7pm to 9pm. The meeting is to discuss the new rules to permit renewable energy facilities. Renewable energy supporters need to attend this meeting.
This is the last public meeting on these regulations so come show your support for renewable power and get informed about the new proposed rules for renewable energy facilities. The government needs to hear from supporters of renewable energy.
When: Thursday, June 257:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Where: Ryerson University Ted Rogers School of Management Lecture Theatre – TRS1-067575 Bay St.Toronto, ON M5G 2C3
