When geeks are cool: Watergeeks!

As far as product testing goes, I figure my family should become professionals. Companies won't need to buy fancy pieces of equipment to test for design and durability - just give it to my kids for a couple of days and you are sure to find out if it stands up.

We have been trying out the Watergeeks 12 oz sippy cup. I say "we", even though my nearly 3-year-old daughter was the one it was intended for. However, the whole family has managed to get in on the action. Here are the results:

Nearly-3-Year-Old-Girl:


What can I say - my daughter is a princess and she likes her things "fancy". (Trust me, that doesn't come from me!) This Watergeeks bottle sure fits the bill. It's contours and bright contours can satisfy any whims for fancy drinking. On a more practical side, the bottle shape make it easy to hand on to, it fits in her car seat's cup holder and the sports cap makes her feel all grown-up. She loves it.



8-Months-Old-And-Growing-Like-A-Weed-Little-Brother:


He really likes to chew things. He especially likes to grab hold of big sister's things and chew them. He really, really likes the Watergeeks bottle because it is nice and easy for him to hold on to. I guess I am going to have to get him his very own - thankfully the bottles come in different colours so we can differentiate and maybe avoid a few arguments.


Thirty-Something-But -Looks-And-Feels-Younger-Mom:


Well, the Mommy doesn't like her things as fancy as dear daughter, but she does like them good quality, practical, and economical. These Watergeeks bottles fit the bill for all of these. This thing has been bashed around, kicked in the driveway (not on purpose), dropped from great heights (also not on purpose) and it has nary a dent in it. It is easy to fill due to it's wide mouth, and doesn't leak around the lid (unless of course you lease the sports spout open). It also washes up easily, can withstand the dishwasher (on purpose) and here is the best thing: When you go to any event with many small children, they will inevitably spy a water bottle/sippy cup that looks like their own. (Does every kid out there own a KK bottle?) Then they will grab your child's. The Watergeeks have a different look - so nobody else grabs it. However, the flaw with this is that everyone is going to read about how great they are and now all the local kids are going to have them. Oh well...

Old-But-Still-Lookin'-Good-Dad:


He likes that he can put it in the dishwasher. And since Dads are notorious for not knowing what their children's belonging look like, this bottle is easy for him to pick out. I'm sure he also likes the lower price point than most of these stainless steel bottles because of all of mommy's online shopping ...


Don't-Forget-About-Me-Dog:
When I asked her, she just kept licking me, so I guess that mean that she approves. She already steals the kids toys, so we really try to keep all their bottles away from her mouth (doesn't always work, but we try, so please don't call Child Services on us.........)
